Azodicarbonamide (ACDA) is currently the world's most widely used blowing agent for plastics and rubber. It is available in particle sizes from 2 to 30 micrometres.
Being non-toxic, self-extinguishing and able to be stored safely with a long shelf-life, ACDA generates large quantities of gas for material expansion and meets all the requirements to be considered a high-quality chemical blowing agent.
